"Then went up Moses, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel: 10 And they saw the God [this is the plural Elohim -THE GODS- in the Hebrew] of Israel: and [there was] under his feet as it were a paved work of a sapphire stone, and as it were the body of heaven in [his] clearness" (Exodus 24:9,10).

The Old Testament of the Bible has been translated into other languages such as Greek, Aramaic, etc. These translations arbitrarily translate the word "Gods" as "God."

Elohim is the Hebrew word that's translated God in English, Greek, etc. The original word for "God" in Hebrew is "El". Superman fantasy borrowed God's name "El." But the Hebrew Bible gives the plural El-ohim form which is literally "Gods." "In the beginning, GODS created the heaven and the earth."

The plural for God is given over 2240 times in the Old Testament. The singular God is used only 433 times. At the beginning, when God[s] speaks, it is "Let us make man" (plural) in OUR image." John writes (1:1f) that Jesus, the Word is with God, is God, and created all things "in the beginning".

My book seeks by colored illustrations to explain that the Trinity of the Godhead is not just a phenomenon of the New Testament. It has been a doctrine all along in the Old Testament as well. Jesus is in the beginning with "the Father" and the Spirit (Genesis 1:2).

GOD[s] IS ONE. The Bible deity is one as Jesus declares in John 17:21. His prayer to the Father was for Christians to be ONE (united) just as Jesus and the Father were one. According to Vine's dictionary, eis, "one" is metaphorical, as "union" and "concord," e.g., John 10:30; 11:52; 17:11,21,22; Romans 12:4,5; Philippians 1:27.* Unlike the competitive idolatrous gods such as Baalim and fantasies and religions of the world, who were by nature belligerent and jealous of one another, the true Deity is "one" in all ways.
